Easter crafts at Turtles Nursery!
Spring has arrived at Turtles Nursery and with it comes one of our favourite creative traditions—decorating cardboard Easter bunnies! This simple, hands-on activity brings so much joy to the children while supporting their development in meaningful ways.
Using pre-cut cardboard bunny shapes, the children were invited to explore a variety of materials—colourful tissue paper, stickers, crayons, and paint. Each child approached their bunny with their own unique ideas, resulting in a delightful display of personalities and creativity.
Beyond the fun, activities like this help develop fine motor skills as children cut, stick, and colour. It also encourages decision-making, independence, and self-expression. We love seeing how proud the children are when they complete their creations and share them with their friends.
Decorating Easter bunnies also opened up lovely conversations about the changing seasons, springtime animals, and celebrations that are important to different families. It’s always wonderful to see children learning through play and creativity.
